Project Pride is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping find abducted, exploited and missing children. Project Pride was founded in 1983 and focuses on educating families on prevention and safety and the mass distribution of photographs of missing children. Project Pride is dedicated to educating families on abduction prevention and assisting law enforcement in returning missing and exploited children to their families. In addition to the distribution of photos of missing children through various mediums, Project Pride also acts as a liaison between Law Enforcement and Families, and provides a 24 hour Emergency Hotline (1-800-549-KIDS) to provide counseling and assistance to victims and families. Project Pride also networks with other non-profit missing children’s organizations to maximize efforts to return children to their families.

Frightening Statistics
- Over ONE MILLION children are affected each year!
- Nearly 114,600 children a year are targets of attempted abductions.
- Each year 4,600 children are abducted by strangers. 354,100 children a year are abducted by family members. These are situations where a family member either (1) took a child in violation of a custody agreement or decree or (2) in violation of a custody agreement or decree, failed to return a child at the end of a legal or agreed upon visit.
- Nearly half a million children runaway from home each year and another 127,000 are abandoned by their parents and families.
